Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Hello friends!

After a week away with our family, it’s good to be back. I know the Lord is doing much in all of our lives and hearts, and I pray this finds you well!

“My steps have held fast to Your path. My feet have not slipped. I have called upon You for You will answer me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, hear my speech, wondrously show your lovingkindness.” - Psalm 17:5-6

This week, I have been serving with a day camp for the kids at our church. While there, a friend motioned me to come over and with great enthusiasm said,

“reviveTX is still alive!”

She shared with me that the night before, her family had a repairman at their house. She sensed she was supposed to ask how to pray for him. She had never done that before with a repairman but felt prompted. She overcame her awkwardness and asked the man to pray right there in her home. He was clearly moved as she loved, listened, discerned and responded!

What’s neat is, the morning before this happened, I ran into her husband in the kid’s ministry area at church. He was telling me he was sorry he wasn’t able to ever go out on a team, but he took on more of a supportive role as his wife was very involved and loved it.  He was grateful for reviveTX. Little did he know, the Lord would bring someone to their home for a divine appointment just a few hours later!

And that’s our heart. reviveTX was not an event. The Lord gave the vision and invitation to gather the Church in the DFW area for 50 days from Easter to Pentecost to go out and share the Gospel every day. As a ministry, reviveTX equips the saints for the return of Christ. After 50 days, our prayer is that everything learned during the 50 days becomes a lifestyle and that the Church walks in the power, love and grace of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

So you may wonder…What is happening in Dallas now besides changed lives?

PRAISE THE LORD: Each of the ten regions has scheduled outreaches for the coming months. You can go to each region’s Facebook page for updates on their schedules. If you have any questions, you can contact Hallie Powers at

PRAISE THE LORD: We have 381 people throughout the ten regions signed up as the remnant…meaning they are committed to lead and be involved with the regular outreaches in their region.

PRAY: For the Lord to bring new people to take part in these outreaches and for divine appointments as they go out!

PRAY: Specifically for the four regions that are gathering in the next week:

Light Purple: Saturday, June 24 at 121 Community Church in Grapevine: 8am-1pmBlue: Saturday, June 24 at ParkwayHills Church in Plano: 8am – 12noonRed: Sunday, June 25 at Dallas Bible Church in Dallas: 12noon – 3pmAqua: Wednesday, June 28 at Lifegate Church in Denton: 7pm to 10pm

PRAISE THE LORD: 2,001 disciple-makers were matched during the 50 days!

PRAY: We still have a need for about 30 disciple-makers, specifically in the Denton area (aqua region).

This week, another friend shared with me how her husband has felt led to walk and disciple a young man who has been homeless. On Father’s Day, he went to the park and gathered up all his belongings he had left under the bushes. After a few difficult days for the young homeless man, he has now found help and a safe place at a shelter. My friend’s husband is committed to meeting with him each week and has such a heart for him. The young man desires the continued meeting as well. PRAISE THE LORD for the body of Christ going outside the Church walls to love on others!

PRAY: Pray for wisdom for each discipleship group meeting as they pour into each other’s lives. I know there are so many stories out there about ongoing discipleship. If you would like to share a testimony, please share your story at

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” - 2 Corinthians 9:8

THANK YOU for praying for our team who traveled to Israel.

A small TTR team went for the purpose of attending the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, the first of its kind, with over 50 Christians from different countries represented, plus other officials. But the Lord had even more in store. The Lord ordered their steps and aligned their conversations in a very unique and connected manner. Kyle and the team found favor with officials, and the Lord laid some neat groundwork for next steps and meetings for future trips to Israel. They were stretched and enlightened as they shared the Gospel. God is good, and His plans are beyond ours.

PRAY for the Lord to order our steps and that we WALK it out as He leads. We are praying and walking this out in FAITH!

“Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, ‘Amen.’ Praise the LORD!” - Psalm 106:47-48

PRAY FOR reviveWISCONSIN: Eight TTR team members traveled this week to Wassuau, WI to get to know the humble, solid core team God is already using to get reviveWISCONSIN ready. We are hoping to equip the local believers as well as prepare the community for advancing the kingdom of God in central Wisconsin. We are asking the Lord for clarity of the next steps.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” - Proverbs 16:3

PRAY: As our team presses on and refocuses after reviveTX. After 50 days of working together throughout the 10 regions of reviveTX, our team is now scattered across MN, IN, OH, FL, NC, MS, GA, AZ, MI, WI, and TX, all doing ministry in their home states.

PRAY: For continued wisdom with pastoral care of our team, training and educating for continued growth and prayer strategy.

PRAY: For wise stewardship of resources.

PRAY: For potential missionaries applying to serve full-time.

PRAISE THE LORD: For his daily provision both in resources and His daily grace in our lives. We are able to do ALL things as we abide in Him.

“Therefore, I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” - Ephesians 4:1-3

PRAISE THE LORD: We are excited to announce TWO MORE full-time Missionaries! We give thanks for the Lord providing full-time support for both Matt Reynolds in 59 days, and Alisa Beisner in 72 days! Isn’t that amazing!

MATT REYNOLDS: After reviveOHIO erupted out of Darke County into the surrounding communities, it made its way to Mercer County in December 2016. Matt Reynolds, lead pastor at Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, OH, helped to organize the local pastors and encouraged Grand Lake to serve as the initial host location. Matt was drawn to how TTR bridges the divide of denominations and brings the entire Christian community together for the sake of sharing the Gospel. He connected with TTR’s passion for prayer, outreach, worship and intentional discipleship. Now part of the TTR team, Matt will continue working to unite the body of Christ, encouraging the Church to focus on Jesus and set aside the things that normally divide us.

Matt lives in Tipp City, OH with his wife, Heidi, and their three children, Nolan, Grady and Jonathan. He begins full-time with TTR July 1.

ALISA BEISNER: Alisa’s journey with Time to Revive began during reviveOHIO :: Darke County in August 2016. She was challenged and encouraged to step outside of her comfort zone as a means to reach others for Christ.  One of her favorite things about serving with TTR is the unity among churches. “It has been absolutely beautiful to see so many come together under the common denominator of Christ. Instead of competing, we are encouraging and working alongside each other to share the amazing hope of Jesus Christ!”

Alisa lives in Ansonia, OH with her husband Stuart. Before joining the TTR team, Alisa worked as outreach director, accountant and interim worship leader for her home church, Ansonia First Church of God.

PRAY for Matt & Heidi Reynolds and Alisa & Stuart Beisner as they begin their journeys full-time with Time to Revive. May the Lord bless them abundantly!

In closing, I want to just share something so simple the Lord showed me last week. I kind of debated sharing this because of the simplicity, but the Lord kept it on the forefront of my mind. As we enter this next season with Time to Revive, the Lord has encouraged me to continue to TRUST. TRUST His ways. TRUST His timing. TRUST His provision.  TRUST the way it looks with HIM leading.

While I was away last week, I was journaling, and the Lord reminded me of His provision for my journal during reviveTX. It was the day of the kickoff, Sunday, April 16 and I went to my closet because I had just filled up my journal. I was looking for a new one, and I always put my extra journals on my closet shelf. All I could find was a simple, yellow, paper thin one. It wasn’t “cute” or “trendy” looking. It was basic and lightweight and simple. In my flesh, I didn’t really want to use this one. I paused before grabbing it to use, and as I did, the Lord impressed upon my heart, “This is perfect for this season, Laura. TRUST me.” And you know what? It was perfect. Everyday, I tucked it in my small purse. I was able to write prayers in it each morning and jot notes during the service. It was EXACTLY what I needed for the 50 days. I finished journaling in it last week while I was out of town.

But I had been given a NEW JOURNAL on the final day of reviveTX, June 4th, for my birthday. I embraced this new journal last week. It’s heavier, it’s sturdier and has a cute design on it! The Lord impressed upon my heart once again, “This is the right journal for this new season, Laura. TRUST me.” And so, as we enter this new season with Time to Revive or in your own life, look around you at all the Lord has provided for you physically or on the calendar or however….see it as the Lord sees it. As you live with a pure heart, TRUST in HIM and HIS ways and HIS timing. It is RIGHT for this season.

“TRUST in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.  Do not be wise in your own eyes, Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.  It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.” - Proverbs 3:5-8

Thanks for walking this journey with us as we equip the saints for His return!

In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin

Dear friends,

reviveTX: 50 days. Easter to Pentecost. Shake the nations. Go out and share the Gospel. Equip the Church.

You prayed. The Church in DFW answered the call.

Before the 50 days began, my daughter Selah had a dream. I remember Selah telling me about it:

Her Aunt Janae, Kyle’s sister, was in a dream with God. Selah remembers Janae and God together saying, “Look.” And there was a rainbow and all the people all looked up at the rainbow. And then the army began rising up…a great big army.

PRAISE THE LORD:  I believe the Lord answered our prayers for the 50 days of reviveTX with an AMEN as a rainstorm followed by a rainbow over the DFW area was captured on photos! For more information on the rain cloud over Dallas, click this link to watch from a weatherman’s perspective.

In the words of Wade Aaron, one of the chairman in the Aqua region:

“We gathered together to celebrate the past 50 days on Pentecost with many different denominations and believers. As we gathered there was a cry for more of the Holy Spirit. And as we 'asked for more' these pictures were taken. I believe it’s a prophetic sign of the Promise of the Holy Spirit being poured out on all creation! Praise God!”

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.” - Acts 2:1

Thank you for praying and pressing in with reviveTX.

PRAISE THE LORD: reviveTX will continue. It was not just a 50-day event. In each region, local leaders have emerged. People will continue gathering to go out in each region. Our prayer is that reviveTX has become a lifestyle.

PRAY: For more churches and more believers to continue to catch the fire of reviveTX.

Interested in staying connected with reviveTX over Facebook? Each region will post information about outreaches and events on separate Facebook pages. Be sure to “like” the page for your region:

Red region Blue region Orange region Purple region Green region Pink region Black region Light purple region Aqua region Yellow region

PRAY: We are mindful to receive from the Lord His grace and walk in His power.

PRAY: For missionaries, staff and volunteers as they head home, debrief with their families, process and begin a new normal.

PRAY: For the health of this process and that we remember we are not alone.

PRAISE THE LORD: We are not the same as when we began reviveTX!

“And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness,’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9

As we end reviveTX, the Lord has reminded me there are many “ripple effects” of reviveTX that we may never know about. I want to share a few I have heard of so far! PRAISE THE LORD for moving beyond what we imagined!

>From the Orange region, a friend wrote and told me that on Day 51 a retired female was saved! Then on Day 52, three generations of a family—a grandmother, her daughter and 3 grandchildren—were all saved!>From the Purple region, a local pastor shared with our team this week:

"reviveTX lives on. Today, a youth group from North Dakota came to volunteer at Inspired Vision Food Bank. The leader asked what the Bibles and bracelets were. I took him through it. He had chills and asked for us to take his 23 youths through it. So we did!"

>From the red region: One team member went to WT White High School last Wednesday for the Gateway student get-together. They borrowed the baptismal truck and baptized six students that day! As a result of reviveTX being hosted at Gateway throughout the week, the student ministries had to find another location to go every Wednesday for seven weeks. I asked one of the student leaders how it had been going, and she said:

“Amazing! We normally have 40 students each week, but last week we recorded 225 students!  We’ve seen over 600 different students in the past six weeks!  That is ¼ of the population of WT White High School.”

She was so excited about what God was doing!  Had reviveTX not been using their normal facility, they wouldn’t never gotten outside of the box and experienced exponential growth for seven weeks!>One couple came to reviveTX for the first week, then took a tour group trip to Germany. While on a hike, they stopped to pray with a lady and found out she had just gotten divorced. They prayed, shared the Gospel and bracelet, and she was overwhelmed by God’s love. Spreading the Gospel in Germany!>One friend had her mom come and visit her in Texas. Her mom never went on a team, but saw her daughter and son-in-law actively involved. After the mom went back home, she told her daughter she asked her doctor how she could pray for him! She may have never gone out here in Texas, but observed others exemplify it, and is now doing it at home! You just never know the effect!   >One friend was in the airport and sensed the Lord say, “Turn around and pray and share with that man.” After repeatedly saying no to God and not turning around, she finally turned around! She quickly went through the bracelet and wristband, and the man said YES to Jesus! He was just ready!>Just this week, an article appeared on Facebook about a ripple effect of reviveOHIO from the fall of 2016. You can read that article here. In the article, the woman testified:

“Now I didn’t reach full healing instantly. I still haven’t. But the healing I have experienced has happened at an unfathomable speed. The type of healing that can only be explained by God.

"Nine months ago, I had just gotten out of my fifth treatment center. I was emaciated, starving myself, cutting myself, and making myself throw up. I was depressed, anxious, and suicidal. Today, nine months later, I am about to declare myself fully recovered from all of that. I am happy, truly, truly happy. I am free. I didn’t believe in God until that day, and now God has wrecked my life in the most beautiful, and best possible way.”

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hands is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great to strengthen everyone. Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.” - 2 Chronicles 29:11-13

PRAISE THE LORD: Kyle and a small team are in Israel this week to attend the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast along with a handful of other meetings and international Christian gatherings. The Lord has granted them favor and open doors along the way. PRAY for God’s will to be done. They will be home Friday, June 9.

During debrief, our team spent time writing words and verses on a garden stone, as a memorial stone of reviveTX for our lives. I wrote “UNASHAMED” on one side of the rock and “IDENTITY in CHRIST” on the other side. The months leading up to reviveTX, I daily studied my identity in Christ. I read verses and I flushed out areas in my life I knew were not of the Lord and places I put my security in that weren’t Christ.

During these past 50 days, I saw the benefit of the Lord leading me in that study and deepening my walk with Him. I felt carried during the 50 days. Throughout reviveTX, the Lord gave me opportunities to walk out my life for Him in boldness and in power that I had never experienced. I was unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus.  I feel like I was able to truly live out 2 Timothy 1:7-8a, “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.”

I am certain the Lord taught every person on our team something different, but what each of us needed for this season. If you know one of our team members, ask them what they wrote on their rock!

We want to thank you for your love, support and encouragement during reviveTX.  We sense a shift has taken place. There’s so much more ahead, so hang in there with us!

“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.Do not quench the Spirit; Do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully, hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

In Christ alone and with love,

Laura Martin

P.S. Next week, I will not be sending an email out on Thursday. Please be PRAYING for rest and connection for all our team members and family. PRAY for wisdom as we lead our homes and this ministry forward.

Dear friends,

It is day 47 of reviveTX. Today is a day to celebrate!

“My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing praises, I will sing praises, even with my soul. I will sing praises to You among the nations.” - Psalm 108:1

PRAISE THE LORD: Let’s give thanks for each regional HOST CHURCH and all lunch time hosts. May the LORD bless them abundantly!

Red: Gateway Church Dallas Campus Orange: Family Cathedral Purple: Metro Fellowship Green: Cornerstone Baptist Church– Arlington Pink: McKinney Church Black: Lighthouse Fellowship Light Purple: New Day Church at Southlake Aqua: Lifegate Church Yellow: Freedom Church Blue: Northeast Bible Church / ParkwayHills Baptist Church Central Location: Inspiring Body of Christ Church

PRAY: Tonight, Thursday, June 1, our regional teams will worship for the final time at each host church. PRAY for a worshipful time together in each of the regions, celebrating the Lord’s goodness!

PRAISE THE LORD: Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3, EVERY REGION will gather together and go out from ONE CENTRAL host church, ALL DAY with the daily schedule of 7am — 7pm.

PRAISE THE LORD: Sunday, June 4th, at 6pm, we will CELEBRATE TOGETHER in worship at Freedom Church in the yellow region (Carrolton).

PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE FRUIT: GOD is on the MOVE every single moment, touching lives, as people are going out to Love, Listen, Discern and Respond.

Early Tuesday morning, in Walmart, as I was running errands, one of the employees walked by and saw my wristband…he held up his arm and said, “I have one too!”  He got it at CVS! I mean, who KNOWS the story behind how that man was given a wristband while shopping at CVS!

Here are just a few PRAISE THE LORD moments from this past week:

*Two said YES to Jesus at Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke (light purple region) when the owner asked reviveTX to come and share after hours!*Last Friday and Saturday night, from 10pm to 12midnight, a team from the black region went to Roxy’s (a local strip bar), shared the Gospel and prayed with the women. Our teams have established a connection and are following up with one of the women. A group of local believers who went in with our reviveTX team are excited to continue to go in and minister to the Roxy employees.

PRAY: As the 50 days of reviveTX comes to an end, it really is just the beginning of a “new normal.” PRAY as each region has gathered a “remnant” team together to lead each region into this new normal.

PRAY: For wisdom and strength as reviveTX continues. It’s amazing as reviveTX moves forward, new people will continue to get involved that were never a part of the 50 days.  We believe new churches will join in, and the Lord will continue to move. He is faithful like that!

One night this week during service, Kyle talked about offering ourselves as a sacrifice to God:

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” - Romans 12:1

reviveTX has taught many of us to sacrifice our schedules, our plans, our time, our resources, our homes, our cars, you name it….for the sake of the Gospel.

PRAISE THE LORD: In the first six weeks:

-497 people have traveled from out of town. -900 meals have been served. -Over 14,950 people have gone OUT on teams! -2, 298 new salvations!-1,460 have been matched with a disciple-maker.

PRAY: We still need 230 people to be matched. PRAY: For MORE disciple-makers to rise up! If you are interested, contact Ali Isabell.

PRAISE THE LORD: The LORD has provided for every need for reviveTX and for Time to Revive. He always does…but it is still a daily walk of faith. This week, we made people aware of our needs for that day, and PRAISE THE LORD, He provided in a timely and abundant way. We give thanks for the generosity of many and for the Lord’s provision for our team and this ministry.

PRAY: We give thanks for all of our monthly financial partners and one-time partners. If you would like to sow into this ministry, click here.

“But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, AN ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE, well-pleasing to God. And MY GOD will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:18-19

As I was reading Romans 12:1 about being a sacrifice to the Lord, I read on to the next verse:

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect” (12:2).

And here’s my heart in this….SWEET JESUS. Jesus is the way. He’s our life. He transforms us. As we spend time with Jesus, we get to know His voice. We hear Him calling us deeper.

reviveTX allows us to spend time with Jesus daily and practice to hear His voice.

It’s our choice to listen and obey and follow.

The first week of reviveTX, the Lord lined up my days and meetings, allowing me to sit before four individuals who have some authority in my girls’ public elementary school.

Before entering the meeting, I heard the nudge of the Holy Spirit encourage me to ask if I could host a gathering at the school to pray and share the Gospel with the students.

I said, “YES LORD, I will ASK.”

Our school has a beautiful diversity. But in my seven years at the school, I have never witnessed a function of this sort. There is a group of moms who pray off campus, but I have never heard of a Christian outreach happening onsite.

The principal said YES to the gathering. My daughter's 4th-grade teacher emailed me and said YES to the gathering.

The district said YES to the gathering and said YES to the flyer being emailed out to every parent inviting students, parents and staff to come.

The PTA president said YES.

The group of praying moms initiated a prayer walk around the school the Saturday before the gathering and said YES.

I posted the flyer on our school’s Facebook page…and fellow Christian parents commented and said YES.

Not one person has approached me to my face to complain. However, I know and have heard they have talked to others including the principal.

The Lord went before me in every way as I followed His leading and said YES. Yes, I had to overcome my fear and lack of faith.

But I felt the Lord say, “Keep walking, Laura.”

This past Tuesday afternoon, at our family’s neighborhood elementary school, Kyle and I and our children had the honor and the privilege to do something that we travel around the country to do. We served ice cream, we prayed, and we shared the Gospel with over 130 students, parents and staff. Lives were touched with the Truth. The Spirit was present. And 18 children stood up, raised their hand and said, “Jesus, you are Lord of my life.”

Our family didn’t conform to the world of “you can’t do this,” but we said YES.

When the Lord is calling you, He will guide the way, just keep saying YES.

“The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” - Deuteronomy 31:8

Walk in the authority the Lord has given each of us when He says, GO.

“All AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18b-20

So friends, this has been my road throughout all of the past six weeks….saying YES to the LORD and speaking as the Lord gives me opportunity. My prayer for each of you and for reviveTX today:

Let’s not miss out on the fullness of the Lord for His kingdom!   Thank you for your prayer and your love! You are all so special to us!

In Christ alone and with love,

Laura Martin

P.S. We worshiped the other night to the song “I Give Myself Away” before Kyle preached about living a life of sacrifice. Powerful! Listen to it here!

Hello Friends!

It’s day 40 of reviveTX! As I prayed through this day, the Dallas Revival in 2007, a 40-day tent revival, immediately came to my mind.

It was 10 years ago this spring. Kyle and I had two-year-old Maya and eight-month-old Nadia. During this time in our lives, TTR wasn’t an official ministry. It was just Kyle and Laura. We were apartment managers on Swiss Avenue. Kyle had graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and spent a year studying and writing about revival. The Lord allowed his writings to be published and turned into a book.

After a season of prayer and fasting, the Lord gave Kyle instructions to gather the Church of DFW under a tent for prayer, worship and teaching from the Word of God. We gathered for prayer early every morning, and Kyle organized different worship teams along with a different pastor to teach every night.

Truly, it was an act of walking in obedience to the Lord. And the Lord honored this time as the Body of Christ came together. Many testified it was a taste of heaven on earth as we experienced unity in our worship times under a gigantic tent. I know the Lord worked in many hearts during that season and touched many lives. During this time, we simply gathered together; we didn’t go out and share the Gospel.

As I reflected on that season of our lives, which two years later would launch the ministry, Time to Revive, I remember how it was, just Kyle and me. Day by day, the Lord provided faithful volunteers along the way.

Humility, loving others and seeking the Lord for revival was at the center of the 40 days. On the final 40th night, Kyle had everyone under the tent wash each other’s feet as a sign of humility and serving one another in love, just as Christ came to this earth.

The 40-day tent revival was an act of obedience in our life, trusting the Lord’s faithfulness. I know each of us is called to obey the Lord as He nudges and pursues you. I encourage you to walk in the direction He is leading you. Or you will miss out on the fullness the Lord has for you.

Fast forward to the 40th day of reviveTX!

“Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” - Psalm 36:5

My heart is overwhelmed with snapshots of the Lord’s faithfulness and lovingkindness as we walk reviveTX out for these 50 days! First, there are so many stories of lives changing and of fruit and miracles. Every. Single. Day. You can read more about these stories on Facebook. You can also watch the video testimonies online.

PRAISE THE LORD: The Lord has grown an army to lead the Church in America and equip them to share the love of Jesus.

Behind the scenes of reviveTX, a team of missionaries, volunteers and staff give up their lives for the Gospel to go forth here in Texas.

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” - Matthew 16:25

Throughout the past 40 days, our team has grown spiritually and stretched themselves beyond what they imagined. I asked the team what the Lord is teaching them through reviveTX. Here’s a snapshot of the life changes happening as God works in our hearts while we walk in daily obedience:

-Daily experiencing HIS abounding grace and unmerited favor-Fear God, not man and new normal-Crazy – awesome-Joy unending-Our Lord provides and makes the old things new-Taste and see that the Lord is good-Patient, steady, and do it with JOY-Joy inexpressible!-Steadfast….in grace….in provision-REJOICE. Persevere. Pray. Romans 12:12-God refining our hearts and causing us to hunger for more-Help us dig deep-New levels of surrender and what it means to walk in Christ’s footsteps-Obedience-Trust Him on a higher level – “I am faithful to My promises.”

This is in the middle of the battle, and in the middle of laboring for the Gospel. This is in the middle of car wrecks and trips to the hospital, tantrums from kids and cancer diagnosis, funerals and late nights, early mornings, not sleeping in your own bed and missing friends from back home. This is in the middle of baptisms and sound checks, serving and sharing Christ’s love, training and sending out teams.

The more God burns away the things of ourselves, the greater JOY we experience.

This week, one of our MIPS, not even fully funded, but serving endlessly in the purple region, was in a car wreck on the way to early morning team devotions at 6:15am. I received a text to pray for her, then a picture of the totaled vehicle saying she is okay aside from a couple of bruises.

The next picture I received was of the MIP standing with a Bible, talking to a police officer. Instead of dwelling on the accident, she was sharing the Gospel with the police officer, with one of her teammates by her side supporting her.

Isn’t God good?

PRAY: We see the Lord working in ALL things as we fix our eyes upon Him.

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” - Romans 8:28

PRAISE THE LORD: Tuesday, over 100 pastors came together for the third week in a row in unity and prayer!

At the pastors’ meeting, the question was asked, “What position, possessions, pleasures are you willing to give up for the next 10 days?”

Here are some of some of the responses:

-Giving up “being god”-Control over theology-The “American Dream”-Sleep-Giving up my expectations-Giving up our “positions”-Not putting church or personal finances ahead of fulfilling our calling-Going back to “normal” church schedule

And so today, I ask YOU and ME…what am I willing to give up for the next 10 days of reviveTX in order to see the Lord MOVE in my life and in the Church?

PRAY: For the CHURCH to come out and take part in reviveTX.

PRAISE THE LORD: Over 6,000 individuals have GONE OUT on teams!

PRAY: For disciple-makers to pair up with new believers.

PRAY: For wisdom as we seek the Lord for His plans for reviveTX beyond the 50 days.

PRAY: For laborers to still JOIN reviveTX from around the country! If you are feeling the nudge to come…just come and JUMP IN! But first, register here.

In closing today, I want to say thank you for praying! Thank you for jumping in! Thank you for joining with our crazy, fun, random reviveTX team! In the words of Paul from Philippians 3:7-8, 10a, 12, let’s PRESS ON:

“But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of the Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss, in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him… That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings… I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.”

Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Dear friends,

Oh, my! It is day 33 in week 5 of reviveTX! Y'all - GOD IS ON THE MOVE with reviveTX.

I want you to look at this painting by Mindi Oaten, painted on reviveTX :: Day 19. It came from a vision Janae` Werner had as she prayed and asked the Lord to reveal His heart for reviveTX.

Isn’t it beautiful and powerful all at the same time?  (The original is already sold on the online silent auction, but if you are interested in a canvas printing of ANY of Mindi’s art you can go to

This painting is called "Seeds in the Wind."

As the Church gathers together day after day to go out, seeds of the Gospel are scattering across the DFW metroplex…but also the country! It’s similar to the seeds of a dandelion as the wind blows on it. The HOLY SPIRIT is blowing across this city.

“And He was saying, ‘The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows —how, he himself does not know.’” - Mark 4:26

PRAISE THE LORD for the SEEDS spread through HIS PLANS and HIS TIMING!

On Saturday, it was clear to the reviveTX leadership that the Lord was shifting our plans. It’s a hard and beautiful thing to LET GO, and watch the Lord reveal His next phase. And so, with the love and blessing from Pastor Rickie Rush, we are no longer gathering in a central location on Fridays and Saturdays. Click here to see FIVE regional locations. Please note your region’s weekend gathering place and come!

PRAY: For these new plans as they unfold this weekend.

Every day our teams in all the regions receive requests for special assignments. Here is just a snapshot of two days!

PRAY: For the LORD to continue to open doors for NEW SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS.

PRAISE THE LORD for SEEDS spreading through PASTORS and LOCAL LEADERSHIP coming together in UNITY in Jesus’ name.

After last week’s pastor meeting and united time of repentance over the spirit of religion, several pastors submitted letters of confession and invitation for MORE to their congregations. Here is just a glimpse of their hearts and humility as they shepherd their flocks:

“Part of my confession has to do with the fact that I, like many of you, was raised in a day and time when the Church lived by what is called the 'attractional model.' The idea behind this model was that all we needed to get someone to enter into a relationship with Jesus was to bring them to the church. And for most of my ministry, I've operated under this banner. Make church fun, get them to church, get them plugged in, they'll find Jesus. But because of the attractional model, pastors across the U.S., pastors like me, have failed to properly equip their church family with the simple, yet beautiful model for engaging someone in a spiritual conversation about the God-shaped hole they have, that is so wonderfully displayed in the process that we are learning through Revive. I have been so energized by how God is using Revive in my own life and in the lives of so many of the faces of our brothers and sisters who have gone on an outreach or come to a worship service or the morning prayer time.”

“You might think because I am a pastor that praying for people I don't know and sharing the Gospel has always been my norm. I am sad to confess that is not the case. I have spent most of my life hustling from one thing to the next and not having margin or boldness to pray for people right in front of me and see where God might lead it. Even though reviveTX has been incredibly busy, it has slowed me down to notice people around me who might need prayer, encouragement and the Gospel. I want this to be my new normal and integrate mission into my everyday life.”

“But none of these results have left me feeling satisfied. They have only left me hungry for more…I don’t think I have done a good enough job in equipping our church to go outside of the walls of our church to have a greater presence in our community. reviveTX is the answer to that problem. The method is so simple; anyone can do it. I am asking you to help me. I am asking you to help yourself. I am asking you to help ‘someone’ find freedom.”

This week, around 120 pastors joined together again in one accord. They gathered, they shared stories about their families and they asked the Lord for words to encourage, edify and speak into one another. Spread the word, pastors are welcome again this Tuesday, May 23, at 10am at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington.

PRAY for UNITY to grow.

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent?…So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.”  - Romans 10:14-15a, 17

PRAISE THE LORD for SEEDS of the Good News and CHANGED lives!

Kyle shared “progress reports” of revival during Saturday's evening message (day 28). If you missed it, you can watch here. Below is JUST a sampling of the lives impacted. You can stop by a regional lunch church any day of the week from 12-1pm and hear stories from the morning outreach!

>Shared the Gospel with Mansfield High School football team, where NINE players accepted Christ for the first time and over 30 rededicated their lives to Jesus!

>A young man, age 23, had grown up in the church as a pastor's kid, accepted Christ at age five, and was called into the ministry at age 17. But ever since then, he had been running from that call. Through reviveTX, this man has come back to embracing that call, and though he had previously been baptized, he felt led to submit to the Lord in water baptism again. This time it had new meaning.

>One team met a man at a RaceTrac across from IBOC. His grandma has been praying for her grandson. The Good News was presented to him and made sense for the first time. He joyfully said yes to Jesus!

>A team went to the Salvation Army and prayed with the director. He shared that last week, a team had come and prayed for him. He was moving boxes and was in pain because he had a brown recluse spider bite on his foot. It was swollen and sore. He had already been through three surgeries to remove the infection. The director explained that the team helped him move the boxes, and then asked how they could pray for him. They prayed for his foot, and he felt a warmth spread throughout his foot. The director reported today that his foot is completely healed!

>One team met a young man named Andre. He was very receptive to the Gospel but just wasn't ready. So the team loved on him. One team member mentioned they were from Indiana, and Andre’s face changed. It was like he felt the love. The team then prayed for the Holy Spirit to show him what is next. He then said yes to Jesus, baptism and discipleship. Andre's face changed in front of this team…because of the power of Jesus’ love!

So as we give PRAISE and THANKSGIVING for the SEEDS BLOWN across DFW in the power of the Holy Spirit…

This week I took two pictures of my son Jude: one of him holding and looking at a dandelion seed and a second getting ready to blow on it.

This is my PRAYER today:

As I look at this first picture of Jude, it reminds me of a picture of the Church today. We hold in our hands, in our tight fists, the seeds of the Gospel, our own personal stories of transformation and redemption. And like Jude looking at this dandelion, the Church holds it, we look at it, and we think about it. But we keep it to ourselves.

In the second picture of Jude, the seeds aren’t yet scattered…but you can tell that Jude is almost going to blow on the seeds.  As soon as he releases the breath of air, the seeds will be gone, and Jude will have LET GO of it all.

I sense the Church is at the point where we are ALMOST READY for the HOLY SPIRIT TO BLOW. Right now, we have some seeds that have scattered as the Church has gone out….but God has SO MUCH MORE!

He wants to, and He is ready to BLOW His wind across DFW so completely that all of the SEEDS we hold tightly in our hands are scattered.  All testimonies of His redeeming love in our lives.

And so I ask you today, wherever you are in life…What do you need to let go of? What do you need to stop thinking about? What do you need to release to the LORD so the HOLY SPIRIT can sweep across your life and DFW?

“Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they OVERCAME him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” - Revelation 12:10-11

PRAY: For the Holy Spirit to work mightily in the hearts and lives of the CHURCH.

Thank you for praying! Our TTR team is pressing on with strength in the LORD…please do not stop lifting all of them up in your prayers. May we daily renew our strength in Him.

“You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever!” - Psalm 16:11
