Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Hello, friends —
Well, after a week of silence, our national team is back in Central Wisconsin. Following a meeting with the local leaders this past Sunday evening, the decision was made to stay 10 more days in Wausau. So our team will be in Wausau, equipping the local Church, through Tuesday, September 5th. And then, we’ll see where the Lord directs our steps.
“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pastures…Commit your way to the LORD; Trust in Him, and He will do this…Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways.”— Psalm 37:3, 5, 7a

PRAY for the remaining days in WAUSAU. PRAY for Hunger, Humility and Unity to break through in greater ways and for the LIGHT to SHINE in the darkness.
reviveWISCONSIN: UPDATESPRAISE THE LORD: Since Monday morning, over 78 teams have gone out, 14 people have said YES to Jesus and 28 people have requested discipleship. PRAY for more disciple-makers! Be sure to watch the highlight videos from reviveWISCONSIN.
PRAISE THE LORD: The local Wausau news shared about reviveWISCONSIN. Click here to watch. After one local woman saw the newscast, she came to the host church Wednesday morning and asked to be baptized! Isn’t it fun to see how God works in miraculous ways!
PRAISE THE LORD: The team in Wausau has continued with the discipline of an hour of silence, sitting daily before the LORD. If you are continuing as well, please write to email@example.com if you feel led to share something you’ve heard from the Lord.
A personal testimony from this week in the silence: Last week, along with many of you, I disciplined myself to sit in silence from 2-3 PM each day, something different from sitting with my Bible in the mornings. But this week, that time frame seems to be getting squeezed out. As a result, I have found myself at the end of the day sitting still and silent. So before I pick up the house, or turn on the news, or grab my phone to catch up on life, the Lord speaks to my heart and says, “Sit with me in the quiet.” And I do. Last night, He spoke to me about apologizing to one of my daughters for an “off” parenting moment. (I’m navigating these new junior high waters and need more wisdom!) After 30 minutes of still and quiet, I went to her and found her still awake. I apologized and asked for forgiveness. We got on the same page with mutual understanding. I’m not sure how the Lord is speaking to you, but sometimes, if we are too busy, we miss out on the gentleness and direction that comes from resting in the Lord. Just as he says, “Cease striving, and KNOW that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
PRAISE THE LORD: During Tuesday night’s service, pastors repented for division, and then, chose unity around Jesus for the sake of revival in Wausau, WI. After the pastors publicly spoke and repented, the congregations from various churches prayed and blessed the pastors.
PRAY for continued breakthrough!
If you missed any of the services, you can watch them here.
reviveOHIO: UPDATEPRAISE THE LORD: The local Allen County news has covered reviveOHIO even before it has begun! The LORD is spreading the word and preparing the county!

PRAY: For continued unity and fruit of the Spirit in the reviveOHIO team and throughout the counties. May the Lord lead and guide their steps! This new team is undertaking so much as the Lord is calling them to walk in faith throughout the state of Ohio!
“Cast your cares on the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.” — Psalm 55:22
PRAISE THE LORD: Last Sunday, over 250 people came for the reviveOHIO :: Allen County Come and See service! Thank you for praying as the Lord was in their midst and moved mightily! A total of 63 people signed up to be disciple-makers, 17 for housing and 50 committing to prayer!

TTR TEAM: UpdateMIP Training – Wednesday, September 6 — Sunday, September 10 in Dallas.
PRAY: For the 16 new MIPS as they attend training and learn how to raise provision as missionaries and about the DNA of TTR. May the Lord grant FAITH in this next step of saying YES.
PRAY: For wisdom for our Missionary Team as we lead this time of training.
PRAISE THE LORD: TTR has 105 MIPS and Missionaries total!
This week, the Lord gave me a FRESH FAITH. He reminded me of my own calling to walk in faith: not in logic, not in realism, not in defeat, but in WHOLE-HEARTED FAITH, believing that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE in Christ Jesus. You may be thinking, “Laura seems to have this faith thing down.” Last week, I felt pretty defeated and weary to keep fighting the battle, walking in faith and believing. The enemy is constantly on the prowl.
However, when we seek Him with all our heart, He promises to be found. When He says to draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you, He is there. The Lord confirmed in my heart in a FRESH way that HE is a faithful GOD. I picked up a book I read 18 years ago in college called Fresh Faith, by Jim Cymbala. I read afresh that the LORD is our Creator, our Defender, our Rock, our Strong Tower, our Protector. Just as David found strength from the LORD during the battle in 1 Samuel 30:6, we too can find strength in the Lord in our own battles. The key is to, at all times, seek the Lord FIRST.
Interestingly, during Monday evening’s message, Kyle talked about the body of Christ and how we all work together in unity, even though there are many different parts. Through Jesus and through the Spirit, we can be ONE. Kyle asked for some members of our TTR team to share the confirmation in their calling with TTR. Similar to how the LORD confirmed in my own heart the day before, I love their responses:
*To go out and share the Gospel and equip others, because I have a passion for missions.*I am called to share with people how Jesus changed my life and how He wants to change theirs.*My wife and I heard from the Lord to join the TTR team. We listened and obeyed. I am passionate about evangelism, and I long to be a part of a move of God. I believe God can break loose in Wisconsin.*After seven years addicted to heroin, I have a love for the lost and to reach those around me afraid of coming into the Church. I want to GO OUT.*God told me to “get in the middle” for the world to reconcile, just as Jesus did. My heart is to see the Church united as one, and I was called to get in the middle of it all. *The Lord called me out of Church “as normal” to GO OUT and help the Church.*I long to help people find God, the same way I found God. I want to actively be involved in OUTreach. God said GO FOR IT, so I sold my business and jumped IN.*I was addicted to drugs, now I’m addicted to sharing Christ with others. I believe God is going to save people in Wisconsin and around the country.*The Lord called me to be a part of helping the Church become One as the Father and the Son are one, so the world may be convinced that the Father has sent the Son. He called me to help the streams of denominations come together as one for the world to see and believe.
You can listen here to their testimonies, (listen at 1hr 33 min).
As I close, I want to take a moment in FAITH and UNITED as ONE Body of Christ to PRAY for those in the floods in Texas and in the path of Hurricane Harvey. I give thanks for the PROMISES of the LORD found in these verses:
“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me.” — Psalm 18:16-17,19
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” — Isaiah 43:1b-2
May the Lord be found in your midst this week as you are seeking Him. Thanks for walking with us. May the Lord bless you!
In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin
