Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Dear friends,

THANK YOU for praying for reviveWISCONSIN! The Lord is answering prayers! The kids and I joined the TTR team in Wausau, WI for the beginning of the week but are now home in time for the kids to start the new school year. What an amazing few days we shared together, pouring into this new region of our nation! Our family and team have come to love the Central Wisconsin community!

“Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His name; give to Him glorious praise! Say to God, ‘How awesome are your deeds!’ So great is Your power that Your enemies come cringing to You. All the earth worships You; and sing praises to You; they sing praises to Your name.” — Psalm 66:1-4

For those receiving this email for the first time, I want to say hello! My name is Laura Martin, and I am Kyle’s wife. I write a weekly prayer email every Thursday, updating TTR’s prayer partners. We believe prayer is the backbone of our ministry, and so we continually ask others to seek the Lord on TTR’s behalf. If you would like to stay connected with TTR and receive these weekly emails or other forms of communication, please click here and add your name!

We give thanks to the LORD for Mindi Oaten’s prophetic art each night. You can bid for the originals at www.reviveart.org or order prints from Mindi directly at www.mindioaten.com.

As I press in and PRAY for reviveWISCONSIN, the Lord has spoken to me in different ways. I was driving with my daughter, Nadia, and asked her what she is sensing in Wausau. She replied, “HUNGRY.” She said, “People are hungry for MORE and MORE of the LORD.”  I would agree with this, and add, the LORD longs to take us deeper in love with Him and to take us to new HEIGHTS in our relationship with Him. Let’s PRAY into this today:

Last Sunday, the Lord gave me this picture as I was hiking up Rib Mountain in Wausau with the kids. The journey was hard since we are not conditioned hikers. Two different pictures tell the story. One of them is posed, all of us smiling at the camera, not representing how we were really feeling at the time. But in the other picture, Nadia caught us in real time, weary and focused.

But isn’t that how life is? Sometimes we fake the smiles on the outside. Can I just say, let’s be real with each other in the Body of Christ. Be authentic. Let others help carry the burdens you are carrying so we can PRAY for one another. In doing so, we go deeper with Jesus.

As the kids and I were going UP to this HIGHER place, the sun peeked through the trees and onto the path. It reminded me of the Lord’s presence with us. As we journey along this path with reviveWISCONSIN, or wherever you may be, may we continually see the LIGHT of Christ shining on us. RECEIVE His presence in your life, and He’ll take you higher. He’ll fulfill the hunger for more of Him as you receive Him.

Then we reached the TOP, we LOOKED OUT, and we PRAYED for the region. The Lord spoke to my heart, “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways, My ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways.’” — Isaiah 55:8-9

Press in for the Lord to take reviveWISCONSIN HIGHER and DEEPER than we can imagine. May we not fear the journey but trust that the presence of the LORD will guide us to new levels with our Savior.

“For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father…so Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what I the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, and that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” — Ephesians 3:14, 17-19

In closing, I want to PRAISE THE LORD for His daily provision for TTR. It’s a daily trust in His provision. But He is faithful day by day! Great is His faithfulness.

May the LORD bless you. May He take you deeper and higher with Him.

In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin

Dear friends,

Hello! Thinking of you this week and am grateful for each of you pressing in and praying for Time to Revive. Today is day 19 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. I awoke this morning with this promise from the Lord on my heart:

“Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name: ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” — Jeremiah 33:2-3

When I read this, I thought about picking up my phone and calling God. He’s right there on the other end, chatting with me, and answering me about all the things I don’t know.  He promises He will answer us, that He will give us an answer.

In Mark 11:24 Jesus says, “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you.”

Jesus says to PRAY and ASK and BELIEVE, and they will be granted to you. I have called out to the LORD, I have sought His face, and I am desperate for Him to answer us.  And then, I’ve waited in the strength of the Lord.

“Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.” — Psalm 27:14

At TTR for the past 19 days, we have sought the LORD in six specific areas:

1. Invitations coming in from multiple cities and countries.2. Partnership opportunities with other ministries.3. The new wave of missionaries in the interview process.4. reviveWISCONSIN (outreach begins August 13).5. Stability for TTR’s monthly finances (daily provision).6. Our ministry’s role in Israel.

During this 21-day season, Kyle is posting a 5-minute Facebook LIVE video.  JOIN Kyle daily as He shares updates. Click here to watch the videos.  (Find the video from Tuesday night and you’ll hear a joke from Jude!).

I feel desperate for the Lord to grant wisdom in these prayer points. Yes, we need provision to meet the needs of the ministry expenses, to pour into reviveWISCONSIN and to press on as a ministry. Period. As I seek Him to provide wisdom and finances for the ministry, I am desperate for Him to move in the Church across America and this world, including Israel. I truly long for the Lord to shake the nations. I believe He hears our prayers and is answering us as we call out to Him.

PRAY: Today, our team begins traveling to reviveWISCONSIN to prepare for the outreach Sunday, August 13 – Saturday, August 19. The week is here, and we have over 170 people from out of town traveling to encourage the local believers!

PRAISE THE LORD: Housing has been provided above and beyond what we needed!

PRAY: For the LORD to MOVE mightily through the Body of Christ, through loving the community, bringing light into dark places!

PRAY: Several TTR team members will be speaking at local churches on Sunday, August 13th. See the side bar for details.

PRAY for the Spirit to move through these churches to ignite a fire in Wisconsin!

PRAISE THE LORD: This week, our missionary interview team has been interviewing TTR’s 6th round of missionary applicants.

PRAY for wisdom as the LORD adds team members to TTR. The past two days have been refreshing and humbling as we hear stories of lives redeemed and called by God to further His Kingdom. The Lord is building a mighty army at TTR.

PRAISE THE LORD: The Lord is moving across this nation. Our TTR missionaries are scattered from Arizona to Florida. Every week, in small pockets across the country, the Church is gathering and GOING OUT. Pastors and congregations are working together in unity and going out to share the love of Jesus. PRAY for favor and protection.

I love seeing this map, knowing mighty warriors are on the ground working for the Kingdom!

PRAY: This week, we have celebrated and given thanks for TTR staff member and teammate, Ruth Cooper. She will no longer work for TTR officially, but I know she will always be in our hearts. And Lord willing, our paths will reunite. This next school year, Ruth will finish up her Master’s in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, pursuing a counseling internship this year. PRAY for the LORD to guide her path and give her strength in this season ahead. Ruth has poured into the entire Martin family and our TTR team. She is a mighty prayer warrior and a loyal, loving watch-person for our ministry. If you feel led to touch base with her, please email her at ruth.cooper87@gmail.com.

This week, I received a care package full of intentional kindness! Inside was a small piece of paper with many truths and promises of God. God’s timing is always perfect, and I needed to DWELL on these truths. I have cried out to the Lord much this week, asking Him for wisdom for TTR. These reminders of TRUTH were just what I needed to stay on track and stay the course, keeping my hands to the plow, resisting the lies of the enemy and believing His promises. Let’s proclaim this TRUTH TODAY:

GOD ALWAYS COMES THROUGH!

You say, “It’s impossible.”God says, “All things are possible.” — Luke 18:27

You say, “I’m too tired.”God says, “I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28-30

Can I get an amen? Thank you, Jesus, for loving us so much! The week ahead is going to be so fun as we head to Wausau, WI and love on this community! God is going ahead of us, and we are GRATEFUL to partner in ministry with you. Thank you for blessing us!  May the Lord bless you today!

“But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning. For you have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to You, For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.” — Psalm 59:16-17

Hello friends,

“I love you, O Lord, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” — Psalm 18:1-3

Can I get an amen? We are on Day 12 of the 21 days of prayer and fasting for TTR. I resonate with the heart of David in Psalms because he is so dependent on the Lord. I need the Lord as my ROCK. He is my firm foundation. During this time of fasting and praying, I ran into a neighbor at a local pool. She follows Time to Revive and asked me about our fast. She wrote me later and encouraged me with these words, “This is what I received: Give up an earthly comfort to seek God’s comfort instead. I can do this. Let the fasting begin!” I love how she articulated it!

Kyle, myself and the entire TTR team are pressing in and seeking His hand daily. There is comfort in seeking Jesus as our ROCK. Yes, there is temporary comfort in a donut or scrolling through Instagram or watching your favorite TV show all night, but when Jesus comforts you in those deep places through His Spirit or through the Word of God, there is a richness that is beyond the comfort of a donut! It’s in seeking Him that we gain wisdom and understanding.

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.“ — Colossians 2:2-3

Even the fact that TTR filed payroll this week, a team is on a prep trip in Wisconsin, and we were able to pay for plane tickets for the team going to reviveWISCONSIN...all of that is the Lord’s hand in providing for TTR's daily physical needs. A week ago, we sought the Lord and asked Him to provide. And daily He provides for the needs of the ministry as we go here and there following where the Lord leads us! He has given us wisdom in stewardship. We depend on Him, and we experience His great faithfulness. THANK YOU for partnering in this with us!

We are seeking the LORD in six specific areas – PRAY FOR:

1. Invitations coming in from multiple cities and countries.2. Partnership opportunities with other ministries.3. The new wave of missionaries in the interview process.4. reviveWISCONSIN (August 13).5. Stability for TTR’s monthly finances.6. Our ministry’s role in Israel.

During this 21-day season, Kyle is posting a 5-minute Facebook LIVE video. JOIN Kyle as he shares daily updates. Click here to watch the videos.

PRAISE THE LORD: This week, a TTR team traveled for the final PREP trip for reviveWISCONSIN.

PRAY for the OUTREACH WEEK – August 13-19.

*Over 144 out-of-towners from 13 states are registered to join!*You can register here*For more info, go to www.revivewisconsin.org (PRAISE THE LORD for a new website!)

PRAY for HOUSING, reviveKIDS volunteers and disciple-makers.

PRAY for the Lord to prepare hearts – for hunger, humility and unity.

PRAY for the Lord to wake up the Church and reach the lost.

“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and will trust in the LORD.”— Psalm 40:3

PRAISE THE LORD: reviveTX continues!

Because Kyle and I live in Dallas, we get to be a part of some of the “new normal” in the lives of pastors and churches since reviveTX. I want to share this testimony of a church, their pastor and leadership leading the congregation after reviveTX.

This past Sunday morning, Kyle and our team were invited to Convergence Church in Fort Worth (pink region). They hosted a Celebration Sunday and called it “Inward and Outward Sunday.”  They combined their two services into one service. They invited Kyle to teach and train their congregation before sending teams out. They had maps organized as well as team leaders trained and ready to stand up to lead teams.

Over 230 people came together to go out on teams, pray for the teams and serve the food.  As teams returned to the church to share testimonies, the church arranged for an In and Out burger truck to serve lunch. How fun is that? There were so many testimonies as people lined up to share! At least 14 people asked for follow-up with discipleship, and six people gave their lives to Christ!

“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”— 1 Peter 1:8-9

PRAISE THE LORD: The orange region gathered last Saturday at a church that was not even involved during the 50 days! Out of the 40 people who went out, 35 people from their church went for the first time! God is answering our prayers for reviveTX! If you have any questions about reviveTX, feel free to contact Hallie Powers at hpowers@timetorevive.com.

PRAY: Monday, August 7- Wednesday, August 9, Wade and Wesley, two TTR missionaries, will travel to Kermit, TX (and surrounding counties – Winkler, Loving, and Reeves). This is near Amarillo, TX. A man heard about reviveTX from his friend in Fort Worth. PRAY for the Pastors Meeting on Tuesday and for divine appointments along the way. TTR prays for reviveTX to spread beyond Dallas-Fort Worth. We are asking the Lord if this is the next step.

“For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name's sake You will lead me and guide me.” — Psalm 31:3

PRAY for wisdom as we begin second round interviews of missionary candidates, Tuesday, August 8 — Wednesday, August 9

PRAY: All summer, it has been on my heart to ask you to PRAY for FAMILIES and MARRIAGES involved with TTR. (This includes singles and the families they are a part of). This week, Kyle and I called a family meeting before Kyle left for Wisconsin.  We needed to gather the six of us and have some honest conversations, giving each other a safe place to talk. We want to be intentional, not just with ministry details, but also with our home. Family meetings are not a regular thing for our home, but afterwards, Jude said he’d like to have one every night! He loved having us all sitting together and talking! ☺

As we train others to Love, Listen, Discern and Respond, we desire to do this in our own families first. As families on the FRONT LINES, will you bless and pray for strength in the LORD. PRAY for wisdom in managing our homes.

“Finally, be strong in the LORD and in the strength of His might.,Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm  against the schemes of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:10-11

Thanks for praying and pressing in! This is the day the Lord has made! I pray YOU see the LORD as your ROCK in the areas of your life where you are depending on Him. Because GREAT is His faithfulness!

In Christ and with love,Laura Martin

Hello friends,

Thanks for praying for Time to Revive! Today is DAY 5 of the 21 days of prayer and fasting. We are seeking the LORD in six specific areas:

1. Invitations coming in from multiple cities and countries.2. Partnership opportunities with other ministries.3. The new wave of missionaries in the interview process.4. reviveWISCONSIN (August 13).5. Stability for TTR’s monthly finances.6. Our ministry’s role in Israel.

During this 21-day season, Kyle is posting a five minute Facebook LIVE video. He shares from his heart and also teaches from the Word of God. Click here to watch the videos.

“Make known to me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You I wait all the day.” — Psalm 25:4-5

“When You said, ‘Seek My face.’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.’” — Psalm 27:8

As we PRAY together with these things in mind, I want to share some SNAPSHOTS OF PRAISE from around the ministry…

PRAISE THE LORD: He is preparing the ground for reviveWISCONSIN. Over 100 business leaders attended the morning business meeting! Two women said YES to Jesus while the team was praying on top of Rib Mountain, one of the highest points in the region. The Lord is preparing the Church. Click here to learn more about reviveWISCONSIN and sign up to come, August 13 -19. The final prep trip for the TTR team will be August 1-3.

PRAISE THE LORD: The TTR team had some great encounters and appointments while at Azusa Now Cleveland, a powerful weekend organized by theCall in Cleveland, OH. A security guard at the Quicken Loans Arena said YES to Jesus! The team met with local Bethel Cleveland pastor, Steve, and Jerry, with theCall.  God is on the move and we give Him glory!

PRAISE THE LORD: The Gospel is being spread around the world using the Bibles, wristbands and Project 52 discipleship books. Once people use the Bibles in the States, they get the nudge to bring them overseas. Praise the LORD for the Gospel spreading to Mexico, Guatemala and other parts of the world!

PRAISE THE LORD: For WISE COUNSEL. As the Proverbs 27:17 says,“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” I’m grateful for the group of pastors and ministry leaders Kyle surrounds himself with who ask hard questions and speak truth in love to one another.

PRAISE THE LORD: reviveTX regions continue to gather, GO OUT and have fellowship together. They continue bringing the love of Jesus to the streets! For more information, contact Hallie Powers at hpowers@timetorevive.com.

As I see the ways the Lord is moving throughout the ministry, and with this season of praying and fasting in mind, the Lord gave me a unique visual to PRAY INTO this week I want to share with you.

This weekend, I realized I had two very dead potted plants on my front steps. Even though it has been raining periodically here in Dallas, and a friend stopped by to water my plants while I was gone, the plants were still very dead looking. Obviously, over time, they did not receive the care they needed.

As I began to remove the dead plants, I realized they were not coming out easily. I enlisted the help of Selah and Jude, and even with their strong muscles, they could not pull the dead plant out. I literally had to cut away at the roots with a shovel, and then pull very hard to remove the dead plant from the pot.

At first, I was surprised the plant was so hard to remove. Often, in my limited gardening experience, when plants have died, it’s because their roots aren’t deep and strong. And then, they are easy to pull out, similar to pulling most weeds.

This plant was different. It had been planted for over a year, and I found it had developed some deep roots. However, I know this spring, in the busyness of reviveTX, I didn’t water it frequently enough. Because the root structure was strong, the plant lasted awhile, but over the past few weeks, the plant finally showed signs of death. It was time to remove the dead plant and remove the roots leading to the dead plant so that new growth and new life could happen inside the pots.

When it came time to choose a new plant, I didn’t choose the same plant. I chose one called a “smart plant”. They are said to be low maintenance and conserve water. I learned from my past choice and am hoping these next plants will last longer.  And actually, a friend recommended it to me, so I listened to her counsel.  ☺

I imagine the Lord may be speaking to you, as He spoke to me. As you read through these scriptures about NEW LIFE in Christ and uprooting things not of God, ask the LORD to reveal the Truth in it for you.

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven…A time to plant and a time to UPROOT what is planted.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2b

“Jesus answered His disciples, ‘Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be UPROOTED.’”— Matthew 15:13

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the NEW creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made NEW in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the NEW self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” — Ephesians 4:22-24

It is worth the work to make room for new life in our lives. The hard part is digging out the roots. I am also aware the enemy attacks us when we are at our weakest and not dealing with root issues in our lives. Whether it’s a relationship, a conversation needing to happen, an area of repentance, a deep hurt that leads to shame, a jealousy, a conviction, an area you need to walk in faith and in obedience….my PRAYER is we take time to dig up the roots and the “dead plants” in our lives.

As I think through areas in my life where I get “angsty,” it usually has a root of selfishness. And so I am coming before the Lord and asking the Holy Spirit to do a fresh work in my life in this area as a mom, a wife, a friend and a follower of Christ. I don’t want to give the enemy any room to step in.  It is so important as we do this work in our lives, to remember Jesus loves us and His grace is sufficient through and through. He calls us Beloved. Receive this truth as you pull up your roots and watch new LIFE begin.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” — Jude 1:24-25

Thanks for pressing on as we seek the Lord together!

In Christ and with love,Laura Martin

Hello friends,

I hope this finds you well! This past weekend, Kyle and I had the opportunity to share briefly in a Sunday school class at the church where I grew up. Wow. As I testified about Time To Revive, I looked at the smiling faces of those who have poured into my life since I was a young girl. Many of them supported me on the annual summer mission trips I went on beginning in 6th grade.

This one Sunday school class began supporting TTR in our first year, and now is just ONE representation of the other churches and classes supporting the many missionaries at Time to Revive. And I am so grateful! THANK YOU for walking this journey with us to further the Kingdom and equip the saints for the return of Christ.

DEPENDENCE on GOD seems to be a theme in Kyle and my conversations this past week. It sounds easy as you say it. We are depending on God. It is where we are supposed to live as believers in Christ; leaning on Christ, not on our own understanding. But sometimes, we just want a little breathing room. Sometimes, we want to just be done depending on God for everything, maybe just depend on Him for part of our lives. Do you ever feel this way? It gets wearying. Because we don’t know what is next or how the Lord will answer our prayer of trust and dependence. We don’t have control.

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.’”– Isaiah 41:13

But God does have the control. We know that’s the ONLY place we want to be. I have said to Kyle before, we have depended on God this long, we can’t stop now. And then, God shows up. He gives you a little more breathing room, or a word of encouragement, or the wisdom you asked for. And you see His mighty hand.

Take, for instance, last Thursday. We sought the Lord for finances, and the Lord provided in an unexpected way as a perfectly timed check arrived in the mail. We had no idea it was on its way, but GOD DID. Because we are so dependent, the LORD God gets all the glory, not Kyle or I. This was out of our control. That’s how God designed it, right? You may be in the same place.

How do you endure these seasons where you may be weary on depending on the LORD? For me, I lean into the Word of God and remind myself of His promises to be faithful. I remember His faithfulness in my own life. Kyle will grab hold of a phrase or two and repeat them every time a worry creeps into his mind. Last week, the Lord told him to keep repeating “I BELIEVE.” We also continue to empty ourselves before the Lord and ask Him to reveal any area in our life, or the ministry, He wants to refine in the process and realign. And if He lays something on our hearts to DO, we do it in obedience.

We LEAN INTO Him and remember He is with us always.

"It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory;it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them."- Psalm 44:3

With this DEPENDENCE on GOD in our lives and for the Body of Christ, I invite you to join us in PRAYER and FASTING:

Beginning Sunday, July 23 – Saturday, August 12, we are asking our TTR team and you, as you feel led, to PRAY and FAST for 21 days. We sense a new page is turning, and we are seeking the LORD every step of the way. Kyle is asking for wisdom, guidance and discernment with TTR for the following:

*We have individuals and churches asking us to consider coming to their communities and countries.*We have ministries asking us to consider partnering with them.*We are interviewing a new wave of missionaries (26 new applicants!).*We are getting ready for reviveWISCONSIN (August 13).*We are seeking the LORD for stability of our monthly finances for the general fund and to meet all the daily needs of the ministry.*We are seeking the Lord about our role in Israel.

Please seek the LORD on how you will join us in this time of prayer and fasting.

“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And confirm for us the work of our hands;Yes, confirm the work of our hands.” - Psalm 90:17

PRAISE THE LORD: Thank you for praying for reviveMINNESOTA :: DODGE COUNTY. The TTR team shared about God’s faithfulness. One of our TTR missionaries, Anne, shared this story with me:

I met the wife of a retired pastor from one of the host churches this week in Dodge Center, MN. She is a retired teacher but still tutors part time. When the TTR team started having prep trips, she was too afraid to go out on a team with me. However, when the outreach week came around, she went out on a team and met two of her students in a park, then led them to the Lord! She was so excited after that. She took the discipleship training and is now in touch with the two young girls she encountered on the street and will pour into them.

This one story is why we do what we do, right?

“And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD. And He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear.” – Isaiah 11:2-3

PRAY for the NEW TTR TEAM MEMBERS!

It is with great JOY we announce TWO new team members JOINING TTR. And both have to do with computers…so I believe the Lord is preparing our ministry for even more in the days ahead, allowing for us to steward the area of technology well.

JEF NEWSOM: You may not have met Jef during reviveTX, but if you have been on an outreach in the last six months, then you have used our new software for tracking outreaches and discipleship, reviveHUB. Jef left his full-time job at a company he helped start and began serving with TTR to develop reviveHUB (while a MIP and still raising funds). Jef has spent most of his career in custom software development as a consultant and trainer.

Kyle and I first met Jef and his two kids (Eva and Ben) at our home church in Dallas. He has a heart for evangelism. While Jef came to serve with TTR during reviveFLORIDA, the Lord called him to join full-time. For more of his story, click here.

THOMAS MELVIN: Thomas started full-time with TTR this week as our Webmaster. As TTR continues to grow and expand with missionaries and outreach cities across several states, our websites need help and full-time attention! Thomas and his wife, Angie, live in Fort Wayne, IN and have been serving on some of the outreaches through reviveINDIANA :: FORT WAYNE for the past two years. They have a love for the ministry of TTR.

A few years before TTR came to Fort Wayne, Thomas and Angie had been asking God to make an adjustment in their lives, allowing them greater intentionality in furthering His Kingdom. Through prayer, Thomas felt the Lord guiding him to leave his job in web development with Sweetwater this spring and pursue ministry with TTR. But he wasn't sure how things would unfold.  After Thomas and Angie’s step of obedience, the Lord lined up the rest of the steps for Thomas to join TTR.

“He shepherded them with a pure heart and guided them with his skillful hands.” - Psalm 78:72

One day this week, I woke up early and watched the ducks on the lake outside my parents’ home. A parent duck was by the shoreline, while the baby ducks were eating food from a weedy area towards the middle of the lake. The Lord spoke to my heart about how God is like the parent duck, watching and waiting for us to come join Him along the shoreline. But as His children, like the ducks, we must come and feast with Him daily.  The Lord says He is the Living Water, He is the Bread of Life. We must hunger and thirst for more of Him. And He will satisfy our hunger.

As we take the time to feast with Him, He provides all we need for a life dependent on Him. After the ducks were well fed, they swam over to the parent duck and journeyed along the shoreline together, well satisfied for the day ahead.

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”- 1 Peter 1:2-3

Thanks for praying for TTR. Let’s find our satisfaction as we depend on Him daily in the season ahead!

In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin
