Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Dear friends,

Hello! This week, I received an email from a TTR friend. It was simple but pointed out TRUTH.

“These are interesting days we are living in. Record-breaking storms, drought and fires, earthquakes, threat of nuclear war, terrorism and evil acts against our fellow man and our neighbors. Suggestion: Read God's Word daily.”

Paul says in Romans 10:17, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. “

I encourage you during these days of hardship, natural disasters, pain and uncertainty, to remain grounded and rooted in the Word of God. That’s one way He loves us! Each morning. Each day. The Lord says, faith comes as we hear the Word of God. So if you are worrying, in fear, without joy, or need to make a decision, I encourage you to open the Word of God. Just do it. It’s there that we draw strength to walk in faith.

I don’t know WHERE to turn except to the Word of God. The way I see it, almost everything else in the world right now is a mess. And unless I’m abiding in Christ and in the Word of God, quite honestly, I’m a mess too. I lose my balance and walk in the flesh, not in the Spirit. So instead, turn to the Word of God, then connect with a friend to pray with you. We aren’t called to do life alone!

Not sure where to start? Turn to the Psalm of the Day. For instance, today is September 21st. Read Psalm 21. The Lord will speak to your heart and encourage you. Here are just a few highlighted verses that spoke to my heart from Psalm 21:

“Oh Lord, in Your strength, the king will be glad, and in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!

For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyfulwith gladness in Your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the lovingkindness of the Most High he will not be shaken.

Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength; We will sing and praise Your power.”(vs. 1,6,7,13)

As you read these verses, what promises of God stand out that strengthen your FAITH?

>In the Lord’s strength, we will be glad.>In the Lord’s salvation, we will rejoice.>The Lord makes us blessed forever.>The Lord’s presence makes us joyful with gladness.>We can TRUST in the LORD.>Through the LORD’s loving-kindness, we won’t be shaken (as we trust).

Now, reading these promises is one thing, but RECEIVING them to be TRUE for you is another. Receiving is hard. But if we don’t begin by RECEIVING all the LORD has for us, we won’t have anything to give away except our dry and crunchy selves!

I am choosing to receive God’s promises! Once you read the Word of God, you are equipped. So when you turn on the TV and hear horrible news happening around us, or you argue with your husband, or your kids are sick and you are afraid, or there’s a death of a close family member….grab hold to God’s promises as you walk through today. And tomorrow, start with Psalm 22!

Let’s PRAISE THE LORD for His faithfulness through TTR:

Our team also wants to say THANK YOU for your incredible support and generous giving during the North Texas Giving Day last Thursday. Praise the Lord He provided a total of 190 gifts totaling $59,295 given from 17 different states! The Lord knows our every need!

PRAISE THE LORD: reviveOHIO :: Allen County —Many have testified of an incredible week of ministry:

>TTR Team member: “We were welcomed with open arms. The hospitality was phenomenal. And once again, my family enlarged! Thank you doesn't even seem adequate. A remnant is rising up to awaken the people. All nations and Israel be on alert. The time is near.”>TTR Team Members: “Pure GRACE. Momentum. Phenomenal.” >Allen County Pastor: “Haven’t seen anything like this in Lima, OH since Billy Sunday in 1915.”>Allen County Pastor: “I’ve seen lots of groups come and go but have never seen a group with such unity.”>Allen County Pastor: “My life will never be the same.”>reviveKIDS: “A mom of a 7-year-old said THANK YOU for reviveKIDS. Her son wants to pray for people, share on the streets and walk through the Gospel Bible. The kids have been empowered to share the Gospel and walk out their faith!”>DISCIPLESHIP PRAISE: 126 people were matched with discipleship – 100%.

“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving. Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods.” — Psalm 95:2-3

Watch this highlight video and give praise to the Lord for His hand over the week.

PRAY for reviveOHIO :: Shelby County  Just three weeks away! October 8-14, 2017.To register, go to it Again, Lord! Great is Your faithfulness.

PRAISE the LORD: Last week, Wade and Wesley sought the Lord’s will for reviveTX to spread into in Reeves and Winkler Counties. They saw 35 people in four days say YES to Jesus! The Lord opened doors for them to share the Gospel at an FCA gathering, an Awana’s club meeting and other divine appointments. The Lord is providing as they take steps and seek the Lord’s will in West Texas.

PRAY: For the LORD’s timing and plans as TTR pursues West Texas!

PRAY: This week, Wade and Wesley traveled to Red River and Lamar Counties seeking the Lord’s will for reviveTX to spread to Northeast Texas.

PRAISE THE LORD: This week, TTR team members Nate Beachy, Jason Revels and Steve Bachman are in Kalona, Iowa for a second scout trip. Fun note – Steve Bachman played high school basketball for two years in Kalona! I love how the Lord brings our team members back to their hometowns! PRAY for clarity on when God would have TTR come to that community.

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”— Romans 10:14

PRAISE THE LORD: Thank you for praying for me as I poured into the ladies from Global Harvest Church last weekend. The Lord supernaturally strengthened and equipped me as I spoke of God’s faithfulness and walking in faith. Over half of these women signed up for discipleship through the church at the end of the retreat.

As I was leaving the room where we met together, I ran into a woman who hadn’t said YES to Jesus but attended the entire retreat. She asked me, “How did you find me?” I shared, “The Lord brought me to you.”She replied, “I need help.” I had her read the Gospel verses; she broke down crying and said YES to Jesus. The Lord as our Shepherd leaves the 99 and truly goes after the ONE. Her friend has excitedly agreed to walk with her through Project52 discipleship book, and I am praying for her to grow in the Lord and for the Lord to be her Helper!

This week, the Lord has opened the door and made it VERY CLEAR for our TTR team to GO BACK to reviveINDIANA :: Elkhart County to FAN THE FLAME of revival. It also happens to be reviveINDIANA :: DAY 1001! Our team will launch the next 1000 days for reviveINDIANA!

In closing, Kyle and I are thankful for every person the Lord has brought along our journey with Time to Revive. This week, will you press in to PRAY for TTR to align our steps with the Lord’s plan. As always, His plans are the best, and we desire to KEEP UP with Him!

Hello, friends –

I love the phrase by the HGTV Stars, Chip and Joanna Gaines, “Today is a good day for a good day!” I woke up with that on my mind this morning! In a similar way, we can turn to the Word of God and read what David says in Psalm 92:1-2, 4-5:

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your loving kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night…For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.”

The word multiplication is on Kyle’s and my heart this week as we see sparks of revival across the country in places TTR has been, and we give thanks!

This past weekend, Kyle and I were asked to speak at an outdoor worship service in Stark County, Ohio. We don’t normally do this sort of thing, but we said yes. One of the key planners and local pastors had traveled to reviveTX and is now praying for reviveOHIO to come to Stark County. It was a joy to meet the body of believers in Stark County and to worship alongside them. At the end of the service, Kyle had the local pastors stand up front and then asked people in the outdoor congregation to stand as they felt led in agreement to go outside the Church walls to share the Gospel. It was a powerful moment to see the pastors and the Body of Christ in unity. We are praying for the Lord to spread reviveOHIO to Stark County.

Later, Kyle and I traveled to Allen County, OH. Since we were already in Ohio, it worked for Kyle to give the message at the reviveOHIO ::  Allen County kick-off service! Kyle and I walked into the host church, Lima Baptist Temple, and were greeted by our TTR missionaries at the connections tables. Allen County is the first community in Ohio where the missionaries will lead, just as the Lord has used the reviveINDIANA and reviveMINNESOTA teams in their respective states. The national TTR team has multiplied! After pouring into the team at the debrief meeting, Kyle and I left directly so we wouldn’t be tempted to stay longer. We needed to let the reviveOHIO missionaries FLY! The Lord has raised up strong leaders!

I was reading in Acts 6:1-7 about the 12 disciples appointing seven leaders to help carry out the responsibilities. Kyle and I and the national team cannot do this alone. We are grateful for our missionaries around the country who are saying, “Here I am, Lord!”

“The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.” — Acts 6:7

PRAISE THE LORD for His works in Allen County:

*Over 700 attended the kick-off evening service.*Over 50 churches united together to go out.*Over 35 outreach assignments have been planned into schools and businesses. *175 teams have gone out since Monday morning.*687 people have gone out on these teams since Monday.*14 salvations.*37 discipleship pairings.*Local news station came and did a news piece about the opening night.*Video crew highlight video from reviveOHIO :: Day 400!*Join us on Facebook Live – reviveOHIO :: Allen County for evening services:  7:00-9:00 PM EDT.*It’s not too late to register and join the team in Allen County.  Click here to register.

TTR missionary, Bob Ewert, shared this testimony from reviveOHIO :: Allen County: “22 teams went out Tuesday morning. My team was led to the Family Dollar where I prayed and shared Scriptures with Laura, the cashier, and she got saved and made Jesus Lord. Then Rita brought Kathy over, and I went through Scriptures with her, and she accepted Jesus and made Him Lord! They both want follow-up discipleship!”

TTR Dallas-based missionaries, Wade Aaron and Wesley Morris, are meeting with ministry leaders in Kermit, TX this week and seeking the Lord's will for reviveTX.  In the process, they met James who gave his life to the Lord! Praise the Lord! The harvest is ripe!

PRAISE THE LORD for MIP Training Round #6:

In thinking about multiplication, last week we trained another round of people answering the Lord’s call into full-time service with TTR. These MIPS are from TX, WI, IN, MN and OH. PRAISE THE LORD!

"This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face." — Psalm 24:6

What does that mean? Donors from around the United States will go online from 6 AM to midnight making donations that will be amplified through foundations in North Texas.

OUR PRAYER for North Texas Giving Day is $100,000. We are asking the LORD to match last year’s giving on this day. Would you be a part of this incredible opportunity and provide a special one-time gift for Time to Revive?

OUR NEEDS for TTR being met will allow us to continue the ministry the Lord has called us to, equipping the saints across this nation and around the world. The harvest is ready! Sparks of revival are happening across this country with humility, hunger and unity. Multiplication is happening as people say yes to Jesus AND as we train up leaders around the country. PRAY for the Lord to meet our needs day by day. Click here to donate and give towards TTR.

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17a

PRAISE THE LORD: The CHURCH in Northwest Indiana (NWI) continues reviveINDIANA for 21 days!

reviveINDIANA poured into NWI in June of 2015. Fast forward over two years, and now, the Church of NWI has committed and planned 21 days of revival, prayer, fasting and outreach: Monday 9/11 through Saturday 9/30. Click here for more information.

No meals, just seeking the LORD's face and going out in His love.8:30am - Prayer and going out12:30pm - Testimonies, prayer, going outLocation - Grace Chapel

"And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” — Romans 13:11-12

I’d love your prayers for me this Friday and Saturday as I will be speaking at Global Harvest Church’s women’s retreat. Will you PRAY for the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart to be pleasing to the Lord as I pour out to these women? PRAY for the women to receive the messages the Lord has for them as I speak on the theme: “Women of Faith.”

I feel like I am daily walking out these words from Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen.” I am trusting in the Lord’s faithfulness and relying on His grace moment by moment. I know that’s exactly where He wants me and all of us! So press on, dear friends, and when you think you are at the end of your faith…take a deep breath and say, “Jesus, I believe!"

Thank you for praying for the many hands and feet of TTR’s team across this country. Either as a missionary, a volunteer, a financial supporter or a prayer partner, Kyle and I continue to give thanks for you.

“O give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples, sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad. Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.” — Psalm 105:1-4

Dear friends,

After I wrote last week, I shut my computer, and the Lord clearly spoke to my heart, “Next week, focus on PRAISING ME through the testimonies.” It’s interesting now, as a nation, we find ourselves in the shadow of Hurricane Harvey and with the beginning signs of Hurricane Irma. In times like this, I am reminded of the song, Praise You in this Storm, by Casting Crowns. We are praying for our revive-FLORIDA team and the many churches and friends across the state. May Jesus be our anchor through the storms!

Let’s give the Lord PRAISE as we “run with endurance the race set before us, may we fix our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1b-2a).

“Those who preach must preach God’s messages; those who serve must serve with the strength that God gives them, so that in all things praise may be given to God through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen.”— 1 Peter 4:11

PRAISE THE LORD for reviveWISCONSIN :: Central Wisconsin (Wausau)PRAISE THE LORD: 121 people committed to carry on reviveWISCONSIN as a remnant in their state! Praise the LORD for UNITY!  CHECK OUT this HIGHLIGHT VIDEO from the final evening to see how the LORD moved in Wisconsin.

PRAISE THE LORD :: Testimony - “A couple days ago, I encountered a young man hanging outside of his house. A team of us shared the Gospel with him and his family. Toward the end of us sharing, this young man got distracted by another conversation. I felt like he was close to being born again, so I pulled him away from his conversation, and we talked through 'life' and the power of the Gospel. Praise God, this young man surrendered to Jesus in his front yard after all the chaos and distractions! Jesus is alive!!" Watch the Day 18 video to see one man go from death to life!

PRAISE THE LORD ::  Testimony - “I went out on teams with a local man in Wausau several times. Last night, he was meditating on the fact that Jesus had died for him, and he realized how important this was: so he wanted me to baptize him!”

PRAISE THE LORD :: Testimony - “Nine kids from the Merrill High School Varsity football team responded to the Gospel on the final day of reviveWISCONSIN and gave their lives to Jesus.”

PRAISE THE LORD: This past Saturday, noontime testimonies were hosted at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wisconsin. Praise God for St. Anne's Catholic Church having a desire to work in unity with the Body of Christ!

“My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.” — Psalm 71:23

Testimonies of thanksgiving from our TTR teamPRAISE THE LORD: “I give the Lord thanks for laughter. Sometimes in the midst of the seriousness of our calling we forget to smile and show His joy.”

PRAISE THE LORD: “SILENT and LISTEN are just 6 letters rearranged.” Many at TTR have continued in the practice of SILENCE for an hour a day, listening to the Holy Spirit. The Lord has honored this time of resting in Him.

PRAISE THE LORD: “I praise You for continually exceeding our expectations and giving us confirmation in connections.”

PRAISE THE LORD: “I am so thankful for the opportunity to follow our calling as a family.”

PRAISE THE LORD: “I have been praying for my dad and step-mom to come to know Jesus personally. I prayed with the produce guy inside their grocery store and gave him a wristband. The next time he saw my dad, he spoke about how much my prayer meant to him. Both my dad and my step-mom texted me at different times to tell me about the produce guy's appreciation. God’s ways to reach them are not always my ways. God's are better!”

“REJOICE always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

PRAISE THE LORD for His hand upon our TTR team!PRAISE THE LORD: reviveINDIANA missionaries, Jesse and Elly Eisenhour delivered their 4th child, Anna Joy, born on Wednesday, August 30, 2017!

PRAISE THE LORD: The LORD provided for Stephanie Benedict to be FULLY FUNDED in 178 days! She is now a FULL-TIME TTR missionary! We first met Stephanie in reviveOHIO :: Darke County. Her favorite thing about serving with TTR is being part of a family with one common goal: bringing the Gospel message, salvation through Jesus Christ, to those who are living without hope. One night in 2016 during reviveOHIO :: Auglaize County, Stephanie heard the Lord’s call. She said, “YES, Jesus, I am all in.”

PRAISE THE LORD: Alex Knous became fully funded in 187 days and is NOW a FULL-TIME Missionary with TTR! Also, this past weekend, Alex and Kalista King, (another reviveOHIO TTR MIP), got engaged! CONGRATS! Before joining the TTR team, he was in his third year of college, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.  After experiencing reviveOHIO firsthand, Alex loved how real and intentional TTR was. He was drawn to how the entire team genuinely pursue revival across the nation for the glory of God. Through TTR, God set a fire in Alex’s heart and made clear the path He had been leading Alex to.

PRAISE THE LORD: Around the MINISTRY and What’s Ahead:PRAISE THE LORD: God works in mysterious ways through the wristbands and unity with the simple Gospel! I received this testimony from a friend of TTR: “We are white and from Birmingham. We stopped in Memphis at the MLK memorial. I felt that would be an excellent place to pray for the healing of our nation and all the racial strife. As I looked around, I was drawn to one black couple. I went over and started a conversation. They were from Dallas, TX. I asked if they believed in prayer. The man lifted his arm and said, ‘My bracelet is just like yours' (a TTR salvation bracelet). We held hands in the street and prayed for our nation. Do you think God put that meeting together?”

PRAISE THE LORD :: TESTIMONY from reviveTX -“It has been so encouraging what God has done through reviveTX in the orange region since the end of the 50 days. So far, in the orange region, we have had 12 outreaches, 232 participants, 59 teams and 35 encounters with folks who either came to Jesus for the first time or came back to God where they desired follow-up. The momentum continues around the DFW Metroplex as Jesus is being lifted up, and the church continues to come together in unity!”

PRAISE THE LORD: A few weeks ago, a TTR team went to Red River County in Texas to discuss reviveTX. Sixty people came together and six churches were represented, all wanting to hear about reviveTX. They will have a future meeting to continue to seek the Lord’s will for their county. Our team will also head back to Winkler County and Reeves County in West Texas September 11-15 for further meetings, seeking the Lord’s will.

"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your FELLOWSHIP IN THE GOSPEL from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:3-6

PRAISE THE LORD: reviveOHIO :: Allen County – Over 54 churches have said they will get involved during the outreach week SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16. Kyle and I will get to join the team this Sunday as they launch reviveOHIO :: Allen County!

To register or for more info,

PRAISE THE LORD: 16 NEW MIPS are in Dallas for TTR’s 6th Missionary Training: Wednesday, September 6 – Sunday, September 10.

PRAISE THE LORD: We give thanks to the LORD for providing daily for our ministry. Kyle and I see the LORD provide in miraculous ways as He continues to guide us in complete faith and surrender. God is our PROVIDER.

“But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.” — Matthew 6:33-34a

As I type, I hear the worship song playing from my kitchen…”I believe in you, I believe in you, You're the God of miracles. He is victory. He is healing. He is glory. He is power.”

Let’s declare this over our lives, our homes, our states and our burdens. “Jesus, we believe in you. You are the God of miracles. And we will Praise your Name.”

Thanks for walking with us! May the Lord bless you.

In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin

Hello, friends —

Well, after a week of silence, our national team is back in Central Wisconsin. Following a meeting with the local leaders this past Sunday evening, the decision was made to stay 10 more days in Wausau. So our team will be in Wausau, equipping the local Church, through Tuesday, September 5th. And then, we’ll see where the Lord directs our steps.

“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pastures…Commit your way to the LORD; Trust in Him, and He will do this…Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways.”— Psalm 37:3, 5, 7a

Click here to watch the latest video from Day 16.

PRAY for the remaining days in WAUSAU. PRAY for Hunger, Humility and Unity to break through in greater ways and for the LIGHT to SHINE in the darkness.

reviveWISCONSIN: UPDATESPRAISE THE LORD: Since Monday morning, over 78 teams have gone out, 14 people have said YES to Jesus and 28 people have requested discipleship. PRAY for more disciple-makers! Be sure to watch the highlight videos from reviveWISCONSIN.

PRAISE THE LORD: The local Wausau news shared about reviveWISCONSIN. Click here to watch. After one local woman saw the newscast, she came to the host church Wednesday morning and asked to be baptized! Isn’t it fun to see how God works in miraculous ways!

PRAISE THE LORD: The team in Wausau has continued with the discipline of an hour of silence, sitting daily before the LORD. If you are continuing as well, please write to if you feel led to share something you’ve heard from the Lord.

A personal testimony from this week in the silence: Last week, along with many of you, I disciplined myself to sit in silence from 2-3 PM each day, something different from sitting with my Bible in the mornings. But this week, that time frame seems to be getting squeezed out. As a result, I have found myself at the end of the day sitting still and silent. So before I pick up the house, or turn on the news, or grab my phone to catch up on life, the Lord speaks to my heart and says, “Sit with me in the quiet.” And I do. Last night, He spoke to me about apologizing to one of my daughters for an “off” parenting moment. (I’m navigating these new junior high waters and need more wisdom!) After 30 minutes of still and quiet, I went to her and found her still awake. I apologized and asked for forgiveness. We got on the same page with mutual understanding. I’m not sure how the Lord is speaking to you, but sometimes, if we are too busy, we miss out on the gentleness and direction that comes from resting in the Lord. Just as he says, “Cease striving, and KNOW that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

PRAISE THE LORD: During Tuesday night’s service, pastors repented for division, and then, chose unity around Jesus for the sake of revival in Wausau, WI. After the pastors publicly spoke and repented, the congregations from various churches prayed and blessed the pastors.

PRAY for continued breakthrough!

If you missed any of the services, you can watch them here.

reviveOHIO: UPDATEPRAISE THE LORD: The local Allen County news has covered reviveOHIO even before it has begun! The LORD is spreading the word and preparing the county!

Click here to watch on a local news piece featuring a local business leader.

PRAY: For continued unity and fruit of the Spirit in the reviveOHIO team and throughout the counties. May the Lord lead and guide their steps! This new team is undertaking so much as the Lord is calling them to walk in faith throughout the state of Ohio!

“Cast your cares on the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.” — Psalm 55:22

PRAISE THE LORD: Last Sunday, over 250 people came for the reviveOHIO :: Allen County Come and See service! Thank you for praying as the Lord was in their midst and moved mightily! A total of 63 people signed up to be disciple-makers, 17 for housing and 50 committing to prayer!

PRAY for Shelby County’s Come and See TONIGHT!

TTR TEAM: UpdateMIP Training – Wednesday, September 6 — Sunday, September 10 in Dallas.

PRAY: For the 16 new MIPS as they attend training and learn how to raise provision as missionaries and about the DNA of TTR. May the Lord grant FAITH in this next step of saying YES.

PRAY: For wisdom for our Missionary Team as we lead this time of training.

PRAISE THE LORD: TTR has 105 MIPS and Missionaries total!

This week, the Lord gave me a FRESH FAITH. He reminded me of my own calling to walk in faith: not in logic, not in realism, not in defeat, but in WHOLE-HEARTED FAITH, believing that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE in Christ Jesus. You may be thinking, “Laura seems to have this faith thing down.” Last week, I felt pretty defeated and weary to keep fighting the battle, walking in faith and believing. The enemy is constantly on the prowl.

However, when we seek Him with all our heart, He promises to be found. When He says to draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you, He is there. The Lord confirmed in my heart in a FRESH way that HE is a faithful GOD. I picked up a book I read 18 years ago in college called Fresh Faith, by Jim Cymbala. I read afresh that the LORD is our Creator, our Defender, our Rock, our Strong Tower, our Protector. Just as David found strength from the LORD during the battle in 1 Samuel 30:6, we too can find strength in the Lord in our own battles. The key is to, at all times, seek the Lord FIRST.

Interestingly, during Monday evening’s message, Kyle talked about the body of Christ and how we all work together in unity, even though there are many different parts. Through Jesus and through the Spirit, we can be ONE. Kyle asked for some members of our TTR team to share the confirmation in their calling with TTR. Similar to how the LORD confirmed in my own heart the day before, I love their responses:

*To go out and share the Gospel and equip others, because I have a passion for missions.*I am called to share with people how Jesus changed my life and how He wants to change theirs.*My wife and I heard from the Lord to join the TTR team. We listened and obeyed. I am passionate about evangelism, and I  long to be a part of a move of God. I believe God can break loose in Wisconsin.*After seven years addicted to heroin, I have a love for the lost and to reach those around me afraid of coming into the Church. I want to GO OUT.*God told me to “get in the middle” for the world to reconcile, just as Jesus did.  My heart is to see the Church united as one, and I was called to get in the middle of it all. *The Lord called me out of Church “as normal” to GO OUT and help the Church.*I long to help people find God, the same way I found God. I want to actively be involved in OUTreach. God said GO FOR IT, so I sold my business and jumped IN.*I was addicted to drugs, now I’m addicted to sharing Christ with others. I believe God is going to save people in Wisconsin and around the country.*The Lord called me to be a part of helping the Church become One as the Father and the Son are one, so the world may be convinced that the Father has sent the Son. He called me to help the streams of denominations come together as one for the world to see and believe.

You can listen here to their testimonies, (listen at 1hr 33 min).

As I close, I want to take a moment in FAITH and UNITED as ONE Body of Christ to PRAY for those in the floods in Texas and in the path of Hurricane Harvey. I give thanks for the PROMISES of the LORD found in these verses:

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me.” — Psalm 18:16-17,19

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” — Isaiah 43:1b-2

May the Lord be found in your midst this week as you are seeking Him. Thanks for walking with us. May the Lord bless you!

Along the Journey with Laura Martin
Hello, friends —

I hope this finds you well! As I write Along the Journey this week, I find myself in a new season. I can say for the first time in 12 years, all my children are in school. The baby and preschool years are behind me, and a new season is ahead.

I’m not fretting about the days ahead, but I’m breathing in His goodness and His truths while resting in Him. I’m celebrating the past 12 years of the Lord’s faithfulness to me as a mom with little ones at home.

“I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him…Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.”— Psalm 62:1

In a similar way, our ministry is doing the same thing this week. As reviveWISCONSIN’s week of outreach came to a close last Saturday, our TTR team and the pastors agreed in unity to spend the next seven days coming together for an hour of silence each day, followed by an additional time of outreach. In this time of silence, we trust the Lord to speak to the local pastors, and they will share with our TTR team what they are sensing from the Lord. We will listen and wait with expectation.

“Silence as a spiritual discipline: Not speaking in a quiet place in order to quiet our minds and whole self and attend to God’s presence.” (Bill Gaultiere:

As a ministry, we often call for a time of prayer and fasting like we did before reviveWISCONSIN. However, we have never corporately called for a season of silence. Today is the fifth day we have practiced this 1-hour of silence.

2:00-3:00 PM, CSTSunday, August 20th - Saturday, August 26th

reviveMISSIONARIES: Announcement

It is with JOY I get to introduce Bob Ewert as a FULLY FUNDED TTR Missionary! After years of pastoring at local churches, the Lord laid on his heart it was time to step down. Two weeks later, as he was participating with reviveINDIANA :: Muncie, Bob discovered the answer. God unmistakably called him on day two saying, “I will take you to the ends of the earth…sign up now!” And he did. Bob loves hitting the streets with a purpose - sharing the Good News of Jesus with others.

I want to close with the word SACRIFICE for the GOSPEL. Last Thursday night’s service in Wisconsin will be known as a shift for our team and our ministry. Kyle described it like this:

“Day 5 of reviveWISCONSIN—was a key moment for our ministry, a shift we have been waiting for, for years. It was bigger than what happened during the evening service or what transpired in the debrief room afterward. It extends past the walls of Highland Community Church, beyond the state lines of Wisconsin, and spreads to encompass our entire team scattered in locations throughout the nation. What God did Thursday night has been years in the making and will be a memorial stone we will look back on for years to come.”

TTR writer, Betsy Hart, described the evening like this:

“…Kyle sensed the need to release an even heavier word on Thursday night – TASTING what Christ tasted, partaking in the fellowship of His suffering. As Kyle delivered the message God laid on his heart, he did so with a raw passion and striking transparency. “My team doesn’t even know this,” he shared, “but I’ve been ready to give up this week. After ten years of pouring into the Church, I stood in that side hallway and told Laura, ‘I’m done.'…Kyle continued to unpack the passage in Mark 10:35-45 where James and John ask to sit at Jesus’ right and left, in His glory. Jesus’ response is a convicting one: “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink?” Are WE able to TASTE what He TASTED? Are we willing to embrace the fellowship of His suffering (Phil 3:10)? The Holy Spirit was active in the room, and many responded to the message…I think our team received the message in a special way, rallying around our leader and understanding to a greater depth the level of sacrifice we may be called to as part of this ministry.”

With this in mind, I ask you to PRAY for our TTR team, our marriages, our families, our volunteers, our financial partners, who are all laying down their lives for the SAKE OF THE GOSPEL. As Kyle shared honestly that evening, this is not easy at all. 1 John 2:6 says, “The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walks.” PRAY for strength to WALK in the same manner Christ walked in grace and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

For me, I continue to focus and seek His promises and His truth for strength to keep walking. Today, I rested in Psalm 73:23-28:

“Nevertheless, I am continually with You;You have taken hold of my right hand,With your counsel, You will guide me,And afterward, receive me to glory.

Whom have I in heaven but YOU?And besides You, I desire nothing on earth,My flesh and my heart may fail,BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever…But as for me, the nearness of God is my good;I have made the LORD GOD my refuge,That I may tell of all Your works.”

We have a front row seat for seeing God do amazing works in His power. Thanks for walking with us as we press on in our calling.

In Christ alone and with love,Laura Martin
