It’s day 26 of reviveTX. And what I love about reviveTX is that I am confident after 24 more days….reviveTX will still only have just begun.
reviveTX is not an event. It’s about training and equipping members of the Church to develop a lifestyle of sharing the Gospel and loving people wherever they go. The Lord has called us to be in Texas for such a time as this to equip the Church. And the Church is being equipped, and God is moving!
“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
reviveTX - Week Three:
> 655 TEAMS went out
> 437 total salvations for week three
> 261 accepted Jesus through special assignments (at businesses, schools, etc.)
> 197 want follow up
> 176 accepted Jesus
> 2,530 PEOPLE went out
PRAISE THE LORD for GOD MOVING in hearts:
> My 12-year-old daughter, Maya, woke up early Saturday morning on her day off of school to go to reviveTX with her dad. She went on a team with a TTR staff member, a local pastor and his 10-year-old daughter. They shared the TRUTH with a young woman who was celebrating her birthday while on break at Chick-Fil-A. Now she celebrates her spiritual birthday of saying YES to Jesus on the same day! You can watch the video HERE.
> An entire family said YES to Jesus in a Duncanville park Saturday afternoon. We found out later they had a persistent praying Grandma! Glory times five!
> A team went to a Family Dollar store, and a lady in the front was healed of foot pain and gave her life to Jesus!
> Pastor Jose, who leads a church and runs a Spanish radio station in Denton, celebrated Jesus working through five baptisms.
> After sharing the Gospel in a middle school in Mesquite, 130 of the 192 students raised their hands to say YES to Jesus, and 115 students requested follow up!
> A man that has been coming to The Prayer Room in Arlington and recently came out of a homosexual lifestyle posted this on FB: “Hey everyone! The #reviveTX movement is contagious! I am recommitting my life to Christ and my friend (who has been a Satanist), just committed his life to Christ. Both of us are getting baptized Sunday!”
“Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above earth and heaven.”
- Psalm 148:13
PRAISE THE LORD for the Church getting outside the BOX to GO:
> The KiDs Beach Club ministry team closed their office one day this week to spend the day with reviveTX.
> Upper Room Church canceled their staff meeting and strongly encouraged their staff to GO OUT with reviveTX.
> A fundraising company decided to close their business for the day and pay their employees to go out with reviveTX. As a result, God blessed them by sending another major client to represent!
“Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established. The LORD has made everything for its own purpose…The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.”
Proverbs 16:3-4a, 9
PRAISE THE LORD for reviving the CHURCH:
> A dad had a blue Bible in his car, and his son saw it and started asking about it on the way to school. They read the scriptures together and right before school, this son placed his faith in Jesus!
> One of our TTR missionaries shared with me how reviveTX is CRAZY…and then she paused! (I thought, “Oh no….crazy good or crazy bad?”) “CRAZY AMAZING!” After over 20 years of full-time ministry, they said YES to the call to serve with TTR. Now, the LORD is blowing them away with His goodness! They are listening to the voice of the Lord with a new boldness and watching Him work wonders!
> One man involved with reviveTX is a school counselor. Just this week, while in an annual review meeting for a student, he mentioned he was a Christian. The father of the student asked him to pray at the end of the meeting. So he prayed with the father, mother and school principal, and afterward, the father hugged him. This man has a new boldness in sharing his faith in his workplace, and the Lord honored him.
> In the black region one morning, an 83-year-old man came to a reviveTX host church. He was in the pit and felt useless. The reviveTX team prayed with him and spoke truth into his life. They encouraged him to go out on a team and share the love of Jesus. He felt very fearful but went anyway. That morning, the Lord used him to lead someone to Christ! He came back excited and encouraged to continue. He has been back every day since!
> Women of all ages from Dallas Bible Church are hitting the streets and sharing testimonies of overcoming their fear and walking in faith. Here are some of their testimonies:
“They (reviveTX team) will guide you every step of the way. You will love it!”
“I was so afraid the first time, but it is such an awesome experience!”
“It’s so fun getting to meet people from other churches.”
“God is on the move, and I am so glad to be part of this movement, and that my daughter now feels like she can do it too. When you cast away your fears, all you have left is FAITH.”
PRAISE THE LORD for DFW pastors coming together:
reviveTX will now host a WEEKLY PASTORS and LOCAL LEADERSHIP MEETING every Tuesday at 10am at Cornerstone Baptist Church: 5415 Matlock Road, Arlington, TX 76018 (until the end of the 50 days).
This past week, Pastor Dwight McKissic shared his experience with reviveTX with the 120 pastors and leaders in attendance and read from Acts 2. He encouraged the pastors: “We cannot be satisfied with the status quo and business as usual of the church. We need to lay aside our layers of race, labels, politics, economics, geography….The Church is best in its birthday suit. The Church is an organism, not an organization. God is in our midst!”
PRAY for the CHURCH to repent from the spirit of religion and the things we fear with reviveTX.
“Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord
Your presence, Lord.”
-from “Holy Spirit” by Francesca Battistelli
NOW with all the LORD is moving and doing…
I ask for you to PRESS IN and PRAY for ALL those involved with reviveTX!
When you hear the words FRONTLINES, what do you think of? It came up a few times this week in my conversations with people.
First, I was praying for my dear friend. With reviveTX here, she desires to JUMP IN however she can. She prays, she gives, she serves, she greets, she longs to go out on teams. This week, on a mile drive to the host church, two tires popped. She had to get a tow truck and deal with all that hassle. WHAT?!?
I gently held her shoulders and looked at her beautiful 80-year-old eyes, and said to her:
“Dear friend, you are on the front lines! The enemy wants to take you out….but YOU ARE STRONGER, and YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER. Thank you.”
I thanked her for standing on the frontlines for Time to Revive, for my family and for reviveTX.
“You are from God and have overcome them,
for he who is in you is greater
than he who is in the world.”
-1 John 4:4
Later that evening, I met a man from out of town, who works in Dallas from time to time. He was telling me how much he loves reviveTX and how amazing the ministry of Time to Revive is.
It’s nice to hear, but I paused, and I asked him to go a little deeper.
I asked him to share with me what he meant….what’s beyond the word “amazing.” I want to know how the Lord touched his heart.
And He said, “We are on the FRONTLINES.”
He went on to say he had served in various branches of the army, but eventually, he served as a RANGER. He served alongside men and women on the frontline in the battle. They gave up their lives, and they became family for each other. He used the description, “They were soul mates; they were like of the same bloodline; they were kindred spirits.”
He related it to those of us going out with reviveTX. We are on the FRONTLINES with each other in the spiritual battle.
In making the sacrifice to GO, to give up our lives, we become family. And HE LOVES IT. It’s impacted him. There is a joy found in going out with a like-minded group on the same mission.
There’s no better place in the family of God than on the frontlines!
I couldn’t agree with him more. I LOVE traveling from region to region throughout DFW and interacting with all of our TTR family on the FRONTLINES. I love meeting new people within the Church here in Texas. There is a JOY that comes from the UNITY of the BODY that is happening!
PRAY for more of the CHURCH to join us on the FRONTLINES.
PRAY for the Church to lay down their schedules and make the time to GO.
PRAY for FAITH, not fear.
In closing, I will share with you a bit from my heart. I agree fully with the JOY, the FRUIT, the FAMILY, the LOVE. It’s our calling.
I know some of the pain, the cost, the reality of the frontlines. I see the car breakdowns, the family loss, the cancer diagnosis, the kids fighting, the middle-of-the-night moments, the hard marriage moments where you feel like you are in two different worlds. I know the loneliness, the wondering your worth and your place. I feel the heavy weight of the calling and the cry of our hearts for the lost and for the Church.
And yet…there is no greater JOY, than to walk obediently in the middle of the Lord’s will for your life. NO GREATER JOY.
My prayer for myself and those standing beside me on the frontlines in these moments:
> JESUS is in the center of it all.
> Remember NOTHING is impossible with Jesus.
> May it be His power and His strength, not ours.
> Daily pick up our cross and focus on Jesus.
> Daily die to self (our plans, our tasks, our stuff, our identity).
> Remember He sees every tear and loves us.
For the second week in a row, the rain came down hard again this afternoon as I write. The Lord is answering our prayers! Let us PRESS ON to know the Lord deeper.
“Oh, that we might know the LORD!
Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring."
- Hosea 6:3
May His love rain down on you abundantly TODAY!
In Christ alone and with love,
