Cindy Brinker Simmons

Mordecai

Cindy was introduced to Time to Revive in early 2013 through a close friend. A short time later, she met Kyle Lance Martin who cast his vision to her for TTR’s evangelistic mission. From that point on, Cindy was all in! Cindy was impacted by the Time to Revive team’s trust and obedience to let the LORD direct their steps. She has been a committed prayer partner for each of the reviveCITIES since early 2015, and her heart yearns to see spiritual revival ignited across the Dallas Metroplex through reviveTX. Cindy firmly believes that prayer is God’s tool for getting His work done. Cindy’s passion for Dallas propels her to pray for Christ-centered revival in the city’s communities, places of worship, homes and businesses. Time to Revive is fortunate to have her serve as a member of the Mordecai Round Table and undergird the ministry in prayer.

Cindy graduated from the University of Virginia (UVA) with degrees in both communications and Spanish. After college she established her own public relations firm that later merged with another distinguished communications agency and served as its partner and president. After a fun, robust and successful 30-year career in public relations, Cindy is on sabbatical writing a book about hope.

She serves on the boards of several organizations, including Dallas Theological Seminary, East-West Ministries, University of Virginia Athletic Foundation, and the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation.  In 1980, Cindy founded Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer, a non-profit organization that funds innovative pediatric cancer research projects nationwide and provides its young cancer patients and their families with activities and support to ease the stress of their experience.

Cindy’s husband Bob, the love of her life, went to be with the LORD in 2005. She and her son William enjoy doing many fun things together: traveling, watching sports or movies and just engaging in great conversation. Spending time with family and friends is a top priority for Cindy. She loves to study the Word of God, spend time in prayer and write. Tennis has been a large part of Cindy’s life. She competed on the national tennis circuit throughout her junior career and on UVA’s tennis and cross-country teams during her years at the university. She was honored as UVA’s Female Athlete of the Year and played on the European women’s tennis tour after college!
